Recycling and sorting of waste products

There are 16 recycling stations in the municipality and 3 recycling centres. Torsby recycling centre is located at Alstigen/Fågelsången.
There are many things that we all can do to reduce the amount of waste we must dispose of, to improve our environment and economise with our natural resources.

accepts donations of clothing and shoes in their locale at Kyrkogatan 3, Torsby, where they offer used clothing for sale. Proceeds from the sales go toward financing Red Cross activities. Second Hand “Olika Ting"

At a number of different locations around the municipality, there are 16 recycling stations where you can deposit paper, glass, plastic and metal cans. At the recycling centres in Torsby, Sysslebäck and Stöllet, you can also deposit other items, such as hazardous waste, old furniture, garden waste and metal, wood and electronic waste.Monthly Waste Collection By sorting recyclable waste and composting organic waste a household can apply to the Municipal Environment and Building Committee for monthly collection of waste, thereby reducing the annual cost of collection by SEK 683, compared with the normal cost for collection every 14 days (2010).Contact us
