
Torsby expects to host some 300+ biathletes from 30 different nations, along with service staff, leaders and supporters. We will need around 220 stewards for servicing everything from car parking and timing, to shooting ranges and restaurants.
A matter of local as well as national concern
The Biathlon Youth and Junior World Championship is a matter of local and national concern. The arrangements in Torsby are considered very important for Swedish Biathlon and its´ reputation as a well renowned internatuional arranger of good events.

New website under construction
We are working to create a new website for the Junior Biathlon World Championships 2010 in Torsby.
Torsby on a field-trip to Canada

This years championship was held in Canmore, Alberta, Canada from Jan. 25 – Feb. 3. Torsby Municipality and Bore SC visited the event in Canmore in order to study the arrangements and meeting the organizers and take part of their knowledge and experiences.
It was also an important opportunity to market Torsby in order to attract the 32 competing nations attending the Canmore events.

Air services Wermlandsflyg and PS Aviation are also stationed at Torsby Airport.
